SAGA Executive and General Member Roles

Do you want to make a difference? We would really like to encourage members to take on key roles in building SAGA. There is much potential in our local community and membership that we hope to tap into. 

All members have talents, we’ve seen you at work.  Whether it’s at the easel or engaged at events we sincerely would welcome your input and involvement in key roles!   

So even if it is just a few hours to host and/or help coordinate a specific event, we welcome and invite you to become involved.                  

It has been a very rewarding journey for us all and given the diverse group of artistic members that is SAGA the possibilities are endless. 

We have several roles that need to be filled please consider whether you might be able to step into the following roles. Per our by-laws require the following executive positions be filled:

We are very fortunate that everyone always chips in to help at our events and workshops; however we are appealing for volunteers to still come forward to help with coordinating and hosting specific events such as the Annual ARTISTS MASS, POP UP SHOWS.   We still urgently need people to fill key positions, without these we simply cannot function effectively.  

General Roles/Positions can be filled by more than one person if you see a role or an activity within a role you believe you could fulfil and are interested in, please put your name forward. Questions can be directed to us via the general email to either Joanne, Maria, or myself (Katalin) and we will get back to you as quickly as possible. 

Many of the advertised roles can be shared between two members, making it both easier and more fulfilling.   If we had enough volunteers these tasks would be spread out more evenly and SAGA can continue to thrive. We welcome members to participate in hosting one-off events as well.We have all learned we can hold productive meetings via ZOOM.So, the plan for 2021 is to host our general meetings and the AGM online via Zoom, so no need for time-consuming travel.
